A three-cornered
water garden.
A new pond cut to fit the awkward corner of a Bungay garden — three planted shelves, a slow-flow biological filter, and a marginal bed running along the longest edge. The triangular footprint was the owners' brief; everything else was figured out on the ground with a spade and a level.
Two summers in, the water is settled, the marginals have closed, and the dragonflies have moved in. We service it twice a year and answer the late-evening texts when the weather goes funny.
