Leak Detection & Liner Repair

Pond losing water faster than evaporation can explain? We track leaks down methodically — checking the waterfall and pipework first, then the liner. Patches where they'll hold, full re-lines when they won't. Honest about which one your pond actually needs.

  • Drop-test & leak localisation
  • Pipework & pump-housing checks
  • Butyl & EPDM patch repairs
  • Full re-line where required
  • Edge & coping reseating
  • Fish held & returned safely

How we work

Four steps,
no surprises.

Whether it's a single deep clean or a six-month build, the way we work is the same: come and look, write down what we'd do and what it costs, then turn up when we said we would and do it.

Common questions

Frequently
asked.

A handful of questions we get every week, answered straight. If yours isn't here, just call or drop us a line — David usually picks up.

Do you charge for a site survey?
No. The first visit and the written quote are free and carry no obligation. We'd rather come out, look at the pond, and tell you honestly whether we're the right people for the job — even if the answer is "actually, this is a small fix you could do yourself."
How far will you travel?
For maintenance and care plans, roughly 40 miles from Bungay — so most of Suffolk and Norfolk. For larger builds and restoration projects we'll travel further. If you're not sure, give us a postcode and we'll be straight with you.
What happens to my fish during a deep clean or rebuild?
They go into aerated holding tanks on site, with water taken from their own pond so the chemistry stays familiar. Frogs, newts and other wildlife are caught carefully and re-released into damp planting nearby. They're back in the finished pond before we leave.
My pond's gone bright green — can you fix it?
Almost always, yes. Green water is usually an algae bloom that responds well to the Oase Water Therapy programme — diagnostic testing, targeted treatment and filter media replacement. Blanketweed is a different beast and we treat that separately. A site visit will tell us which we're dealing with.
Do you maintain ponds you didn't build?
Most of our maintenance work is on ponds built by someone else, sometimes decades ago. We'll do an initial survey, get to know how it's been put together, and write a care plan from there.
How quickly can you come out?
For surveys, usually within a week. For maintenance work, within two weeks. New builds are booked further out — typically three to four months — though we'll always say honestly where we are at the time you ask.
Are you insured?
Yes — fully insured for public liability. We're a registered limited company (Pure Ponds Ltd, no. 17061466) and Approved Oase Installers. Happy to share certificates on request before any work starts.
